Thanks to this accessory you will be able to use a torch to light your path. It will also allow you to add the torch on the second hand and light your path more efficiently. The addon is available for versions 1.21.x.
--Installation Guide--
You must download the Torch OffHand BP file for the addon's behavior, and then the Torch OffHand RP file for the addon's textures. These two files are required for the addon to work properly.

Ui Textura
A new item called Torch Config Book has been added. It allows players to open a custom-textured interface to adjust various torch-related settings.
For example, players can customize the light distance, enable or disable the option to place torches while sneaking and hitting a block when holding torches in the offhand, choose whether the lighting feature works only in Survival mode or in all game modes, and finally enable or disable a sound effect that plays when holding a torch for the first time.
Place Torch Offhand
To place torches while holding them in your offhand, you must perform the following action: Sneak + Hit the block where you want to place the torch. This must be done while holding a torch in your offhand and with the "Place torches while sneaking" option enabled in the Torch Config Book settings.
Recipe Book
You will receive this new item when you first enter the world. It cannot be lost upon death. However, if you lose it by dropping it or storing it somewhere you can no longer remember, you can craft it again using the following recipe:
Light underwater
Lighting was added to the sea pickle. You can also place it in the off-hand by interacting with the item or crafting its off-hand version. Additionally, you’ll be able to light up underwater.

When using the addon you will be able to realize that by having a torch in your hand it will light up at night just by having it in your hand, to use it in the second hand you must put a torch in the crafting area or in the inventory or on the table of crafting and this will give you a torch capable of being placed in the secondary hand.
to place the item in the offhand, you must interact with the torch to switch it to the offhand. Also, since torches are placed on the ground, you must not be looking at any block within an 8-block radius for the mechanic to activate and move it to the offhand.
