Better Bedrock Theme Template

Idea of this pack is simple: it’s just template for creating custom themes for Better Bedrock Texture Pack, at least v8.0+.

Important

Modification of themes is rather recommended for computer users, it’s just more simple and accessible here, however if you know programs on phone, it’s also possibly to edit them here! Here is my recommendation of software to use to edit theme in efficient and free way!

• Edit textures - paint.net

• Edit _global_variables.json - technically any text editor, I use VS code on computer

Download and edit tutorial

• download this pack

• rename downloaded file from .mcpack to .zip

• unzip this file

• open folder and do your modifications here (check themes creation tutorial page here or directly in this video)

• then select all files inside this folder

• zip all files (you should get .zip file after this operation)

• rename created file to .mcpack and that’s all!

Tips

• if you don’t edit other textures, please remove them because they are just not necessary (e.g. you edited white button to be pink, and everything rest is like default, then make sure to include in pack only your change, it’s not necessary but recommended for consistency)

• try also to modify values in _global_variables.json! They are responsible for text colors of buttons in game, with some button colors, modification of these texts may be inevitable!

• we recommend to NOT change sizes of textures, try only to adjust it’s colors etc. If you want to edit them, make sure you know what’s nineslice and to adjust it properly in .json files (e.g. header.png and header.json ← this file)

• if you don’t know what nineslice is then remove all files that end with .json - only related to textures e.g. if there is header.png, there is also header.json. Remove here .json file if you don’t know nineslice. Generally it’s not necessary but it’s recommended.
